Non-Computerized Workplaces
The Walk for Wellness Challenge can be run in any workplace – computerized or not. In order to run the Challenge, the Coordinator must have access to the online information and tracking system. Depending on the make up of the workplace - there are a few options of how the challenge can be run.
1. If the Challenge Coordinator is the only person with access to the Internet
The Challenge Coordinator will:
- register the Challenge and set up the start date.
- add Team Captains and Participants to the Challenge, but will not include email addresses.
- communicate with Participants regarding the Challenge
- enter daily totals (activity & healthy eating) for all of the Participants into the Physical Activity & Healthy Eating online tracker
2. If the Challenge Coordinator AND Team Captains, but no participants have access to the Internet
The Challenge Coordinator will:
- register the Challenge and set up the start date.
- add Team Captains to the Challenge, including email addresses.
And the Team Captain will then:
- add Participants to the Challenge, but will not include email addresses.
- communicate with Participants regarding the Challenge.
- enter daily totals (activity & healthy eating) for the Participants on their team.
3. If some Participants have access to the Internet and others don’t
The Challenge Coordinator will:
- register the Challenge and set up the start date.
- add Team Captains to the Challenge, including email addresses.
And the Team Captain will then:
- add Participants to the Challenge, some will include email addresses and others will not.
- communicate with Participants regarding the Challenge.
- enter daily totals (activity & healthy eating) for the Participants on their team that don’t have access to the online tracker.
And the Participants that have access to the online tracker will:
- log-in and enter their own daily totals (activity & healthy eating).
